Community events are something everyone looks forward to, especially in cloud computing. AWS Re:Invent is one of the most prominent events in cloud computing. It was founded in 2012 and has been a major topic since then. AWS Re:Invent 2020, like other notable cloud providers like Microsoft Ignite or Google Cloud Next will require a different approach.
2020 has not been a year that goes according to plan for most people. There were also rumors about AWS ReInvent being cancelled this year. But, it is unlikely that 2020 will see the cancellation of an event with more than 60,000 attendees from all over the globe last year.
AWS is doing something a little different than usual. This year’s AWS RE:Invent will be conducted via virtual media. The best part is that you can attend the most anticipated virtual cloud conference of 2020 free of charge. Let’s take a look at some of the information that will help you navigate the events of AWS:Invent easily.

General Information of AWS ReInvent 2020
Before we get into the details, let’s first look at general information about AWS:Invent 2020. AWS Re-Invent is the annual user conference hosted by Amazon Web Services, the world’s largest cloud service provider. The event is focused on cloud strategies, IT infrastructure and architecture, cloud operations, security, and developer productivity.
The conference used to be held in seven different locations in Las Vegas. The unfortunate circumstances of this year have forced the conference to be entirely virtual. The event will take place over three weeks, from November 30, 2020 to December 18, 2020. 2020 AWS Re:Invent will have broadcasts that can be used to reach audiences in different time zones, such as Asia-Pacific (SGT), Europe (GMT), Americas (PST), and Europe (GMT).
The sessions, along with the keynote sessions in AWS Re:Invent, would be broadcast live in America. The event would then be broadcast in the other time zones at specific times. The registration process for the event began in October and is ongoing right now.
