The 2014 IBM certification program is starting with many changes! Many of you are aware that the IBM Professional Certification Program exam delivery has been moved from Prometric Testing Centers to Pearson VUE Test Centers (PVTC) effective January 2, 2014. Candidates should register at PVTCs for all IMB exams.
The company makes the transition as simple as possible for candidates. Candidates who have taken the IBM exam before can use their Candidate Test ID. All their records and IBM exam history will be preserved. Pearson VUE recognizes valid IBM promo codes and IBM vouchers that were issued before the transition.
The most significant change is the introduction of new test numbers. IBM introduces new prefixes, but not the familiar 000s, and retains the ending 3 numbers the same. You can find the complete exam correlation table here.
Exam Admission Changes
New exam admission requirements are being implemented at Pearson VUE centers. IBM has changed the exam admission requirements to include a digital signature and the requirement that candidates taking proctored exams be photographed. Each candidate’s IBM certification record will include a photograph and a signature. Pearson VUE secures all data and protects the score reports that include photos taken during admissions. These requirements can be modified to meet local laws.
