Today Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Ltd. announced that it has formed a new Amazon Web Services Inc. cloud practice to provide consulting services to enterprises looking to transform their operations. The focus is on SAP HANA technologies.
SAP HANA is an in memory computing and real-time analysis platform. It includes components such as SAP BW/4HANA, a data warehouse, and SAP S/4HANA, which are enterprise resource management suites with ERP capabilities.
The new AWS cloud practice will be specialized in analytics, enterprise applications like SAP’s ERP offerings, and front-end and back-end office system systems.
“Our AWS collaboration focuses on accelerating clients’ digital core transformation via SAP S/4HANA to modernize ERP technology and de-risk cloud migratings,” said Craig Hodgetts (national managing principal, technology, Deloitte Consulting LLP).
Hodgetts stated that Deloitte will offer 20 pre-configured solutions for data, which are focused on specific industries. They will use AWS services and the SAP HANA Platform.
Deloitte pointed out that the collaboration could have potential benefits, including digital core transformations through the SAP data warehouse and ERP parts, which can take advantage AWS services like memory-optimized Amazon EC2 X1 instances.
The consulting company also stated that helping organizations migrate to their enterprise applications and data to AWS cloud will remove them from the need to manage and own their own IT infrastructure.
Deloitte announced that its member firms will have the ability to use the AWS cloud to provide Deloitte services and create new solutions for customers as part of the collaboration.
Deloitte consultants offer audit, consulting, tax, and advisory services to thousands companies around the globe. The consultancy is already an AWS partner specializing in cloud provider (strategy and transformation) and cloud subscriber (advisory and implementation) services, along with Deloitte-as-a-Service offerings. /Deloitte also has a global SAP partner.
